A look at all 500+ of the New Character Customizations that have released Star Wars the Old Republic in Game Update 7.7 and 7.7.1!

New Character Customization

Initially announced during the SWTOR 7.7 Developer Livestream earlier in May 2025, there was a surprise announcement that The Old Republic would be adding over 400+ new Skin Color options to a variety of species to customize our characters.

During Game Update 7.7.1 in August of 2025, the developers suddenly announced several hundred more Hair Color options for several species would also be given to all players for free to customize our characters.

Alongside the new Hair and Montral color options, the developers also added several dozen new skin tone colors for Mirialans and Imperial Zabraks.

Cathar

In game update 7.7, Cathar were updated from 10 skin customizations to 81.
In game update 7.7.1, Cathar recieved 72 new hair color customizations.

Old Character Customizations

There are 10 existing Cathar skin customizations.

New Character Customizations

There are 81 New Cathar skin customizations. The first 10 Customizations are the same as the old customizations.

Cathar Hair Colors

Old Cathar Hair Color Customizations

There are 19 Cathar skin customizations, 11 are free and 8 are Cartel Market unlocks.

New Cathar Hair Color Customizations

There are 73 New Cathar Hair Color customizations. The first 11 Customizations are the same as the old customizations.

Chiss

In game update 7.7, Chiss were updated with 19 new skin tone customizations.
In game update 7.7.1, Chiss recieved 72 new hair color customizations.

Old Character Customizations

There are 8 default and 2 extra Cartel Market skin customizations for Chiss, for a total of 10 existing Chiss Character Customizations.

New Character Customizations

There are 19 New Chiss skin customizations. The first 10 (8 vanilla + 2 cartel unlocks) Customizations are the same as the old customizations.
Despite the color order being the same, All of the 10 old customizations have been visually updated.

Chiss Hair Colors

Old Chiss Hair Color Customizations

There are 7 default and 8 extra Cartel Market skin customizations for Chiss, for a total of 15 existing Chiss Character Customizations.

New Chiss Hair Color Customizations

There are 56 New Chiss skin customizations. The first 15 Customizations are the same as the old customizations.

Cyborg

In game update 7.7.1, the Cyborg species was expanded from 16 hair colors to 73 new hair color customizations.

Old Cyborg Hair Color Customizations

There are 16 default and 8 extra Cartel Market old skin customizations for Cyborg players, for a total of 24 existing Hair Character Customizations.

New Cyborg Hair Color Customizations

There are 72 New Cyborg hair customizations. The first 24 Customizations (16 free + 8 Cartel Market unlock) are the same as the old customizations.

Human

In game update 7.7.1, the Human species was expanded from 16 hair colors to 73 new hair color customizations.

Old Human Hair Color Customizations

There are 16 default and 8 extra Cartel Market old skin customizations for Human players, for a total of 24 existing Hair Character Customizations.

New Human Hair Color Customizations

There are 72 New Human hair customizations. The first 24 Customizations (16 free + 8 Cartel Market unlock) are the same as the old customizations.

Miraluka

In game update 7.7.1, the Miraluka species was expanded from 16 hair colors to 73 new hair color customizations.

Old Miraluka Hair Color Customizations

There are 16 default and 8 extra Cartel Market old skin customizations for Miraluka players, for a total of 24 existing Hair Character Customizations.

New Miraluka Hair Color Customizations

There are 72 New Miraluka hair customizations. The first 24 Customizations (16 free + 8 Cartel Market unlock) are the same as the old customizations.

Mirialan

In game update 7.7, Mirialan were updated with 47 new skin tone customizations.
In game update 7.7.1, an additional 33 Mirialan skin customizations and 50 new hair color customizations were added to the game.

Old Character Customizations

There are 8 existing Mirialan skin customizations.

New Character Customizations

There are 47 New Mirialan skin customizations. The first 8 Customizations are the same as the old customizations.
An additional 33 New Mirialan skin customizations were added in game update 7.7.1 and have been added at the end.

7.7.1 New Mirialan Customizations

33 New Mirialan skin customizations were added in game update 7.7.1.

Mirialan Hair Colors

Old Mirialan Hair Color Customizations

There are 22 old Mirialan hair customizations, 14 are free and 8 are Cartel Market unlocks.

New Mirialan Hair Color Customizations

There are 50 New Mirialan Hair color customizations for a total of 72 hair colors. The first 22 Customizations are the same as the old customizations.

Nautolan

Old Character Customizations

There are 10 existing Nautolan skin customizations.

New Character Customizations

There are 95 New Nautolan skin customizations. The first 10 Customizations are the same as the old customizations.

Sith Pureblood

Old Character Customizations

There are 6 existing Sith Pureblood skin customizations.

New Character Customizations

There are 41 New Sith Pureblood skin customizations. The first 6 Customizations are the same as the old customizations.

Pureblood Hair Colors

Old Pureblood Hair Color Customizations

There are 7 default and 8 extra Cartel Market hair customizations for Sith Pureblood, for a total of 15 existing Sith Character Customizations.

New Sith Pureblood Hair Color Customizations

There are 56 New Sith Pureblood hair customizations. The first 15 Customizations are the same as the old customizations.

Rattataki

Unlike other species, Rattataki have yet to be expanded with new customization options.

In game update 7.7.1 the Rattataki species was updated with new textures to better blend the seam between the neck and body together, as well as reduced wrinkles and increased smoothing on the neck and head.

Togruta

In game update 7.7, Togruta were updated with 97 new skin tone customizations.
In game update 7.7.1, Togruta recieved 78 new Montral color customizations.

Old Character Customizations

There are 19 existing Togruta skin customizations.

New Character Customizations

There are 97 New Togruta skin customizations. The first 19 Customizations are the same as the old customizations.
The red Togruta skin customization in Option Number 10 has been swapped with Option Number 19, no existing Characters are affected.

Togruta Montral Colors

Old Togruta Color Customizations

There are 27 existing Togruta skin customizations, 19 are Free and 8 are Cartel Market unlocks.

New Character Customizations

There are 78 New Togruta skin customizations. The first 27 Customizations are the same as the old customizations (19 old Montral colors + 8 Cartel Market unlocks).

Twi’lek

Old Character Customizations

There are 8 existing Twi’lek skin customizations.

New Character Customizations

There are 95 New Twi’lek skin customizations. The first 8 Customizations are the same as the old customizations.

Republic Zabrak

In game update 7.7.1, both the Imperial and Republic Zabrak species was expanded from 16 hair colors to 73 new hair color customizations.

New Imperial Zabrak Skin Customizations

In game update 7.7.1 the Imperial Zabrak species expanded to 25 new skin tone colors.

Imperial Zabrak Hair Colors

In game update 7.7.1, both the Imperial and Republic Zabrak species was expanded to 73 new hair color customizations.

Old Imperial Zabrak Hair Color Customizations

There were 8 default and 8 extra Cartel Market skin customizations for Imperial Zabraks, for a total of 16 existing Hair Character Customizations.

New Imperial Zabrak Hair Color Customizations

There are 72 New Imperial Zabrak hair customizations. The first 16 Customizations (8 free + 8 Cartel Market unlock) are the same as the old customizations.

New Species Updates

Another thing the developers hinted at the end of the 7.7 Developer Livestream was that they had begun early work on SWTOR’s next customisations. They did NOT give any hints as to what it could be!

This page will be updated in the future when we have an Official Confirmation/Announcement for what the next species customisations might be.

EDIT: Game Update 7.7.1 added several hundred new hairs colors for humanoids and togruta, as well as 50+ new skin colors for Imperial Zabraks and Mirialans.
