Dantooine Dynamic Encounters

Dynamic Encounters are repeatable, time-limited quests in Star Wars the Old Republic. Many Dynamic Encounters are combat focused while others are whimsical and involve non-combat activities such as catching baby Tauntauns or herding Banthas.
For a complete guide for Dynamic Encounters, read more here:

SWTOR Dynamic Encounters Guide
How to play every Dynamic Encounter & Reward in SWTOR.
Continue to the guide.
Unlike other planets, Dynamic Encounters on Dantooine have no time limit and are required in order to progress the ‘Level’ of the Biome on the planet, the higher the level, the more Dynamic Encounters and special Boss fights become available.
There are 3 regions of Dynamic Encounters on the Dantooine Crash Site: Sporefall, Glacial and Geothermal
All Dynamic Encounters are Shared – Dynamic Encounters that either have several steps or a Boss fight.
Encounter Shared: All players in the area share Quest progress for NPC Kills during the Dynamic Encounter. Non-combat progress such as item looting is not shared.
Boss Fights – A special Dynamic Encounter that only appears when a biome reaches 100% progress. These Dynamic Encounters are very difficult and should be completed in a group.
Encounter Shared: All players in the area share Quest progress for NPC Kills. Non-combat progress such as item looting is not shared.
Upon arriving at the Crash Site on Dantooine, you will be prompted via the Commlink to start the Wreckage on Dantooine quest arc, which serves as the Story quest series for the Dantooine Crash Site location.

To follow a comprehensive step-by-step guide to the Wreckage of Dantooine Story Quest, follow this guide:
How Dynamic Encounters Work on Dantooine
Unlike all other planets in SWTOR, Dynamic Encounters on Dantooine have no time limit and are required in order to ‘progress’ on the planet.
The Dantooine Crash Site is split into 3 separate Biomes: Geothermal, Glacial and Sporefall (in that order).
Each of the three Biomes also has it’s own hazardous environment that can cause passive damage to the player, so be careful!
Area Map

Looking at the map is the easiest way to understand how the Dantooine Crash Site works as a ‘game mode’.
The top of the map shows the players Status out of 3 to activate the ‘Core’. Once all 3 Biomes on Dantooine have reached 100% at Level 3, the Core will become available. The Core is the name of a special boss that requires a group of 4 players to defeat.
Below the Core status are 3 bars, each representing the ‘progress’ out of 100% and the ‘Level’ of each Biome. Each Biome starts at Level 1.
Every time a Dynamic Encounter in a biome is completed, the progress bar will increase by 4%. Once a Biome reaches 100%, it will move to the next Level.
Once all 3 Biomes reach level 3, the Core will ‘activate’ and spawn the special boss.
The ‘Basecamp’ is an area to the top North-East of the map and is the area where you first arrive, here you can find the Reputation Vendor for the area, as well as a machine that provides protective Buffs based on your Reputation Level.
There is only ONE quick travel point on the entire planet, placed in the very center of the map, you must walk or use a mount to travel to each Biome from here.
The Dantooine Crash Site is divided into 3 distinct ‘combat’ biomes, the orange Sporefall Biome, the green Geothermal Biome and the pink Glacial Biome.
The Sporefall Biome is located in the North-West of the Dantooine Crash Site, all Dynamic Encounters have an Orange icon in this area.
The Sporefall Biome applies a spore ‘buff’ in some areas that decreases player attack damage and speed.
The Geothermal Biome is located in the South-Eastof the Dantooine Crash Site, all Dynamic Encounters have a Green icon in this area.
The Geothermal Biome has toxic water and lava which will hurt you the longer you stand in it, be careful not to stand in water or lava for too long!
The Glacial Biome is located in the South-West of the Dantooine Crash Site, all Dynamic Encounters have a Pink icon in this area.
The Glacial Biome applies a Frost damage ‘buff’ that hurts your player if you are standing still, you need to KEEP MOVING to get rid of the buff.
Galactic Sustainability Institute Reputation

The Galactic Sustainability Institute (or GSI) Reputation Track is unique to the Dantooine Crash Site in SWTOR. The only way to level the Reputation track is by completing the Wreckage on Dantooine quest as well as playing Dynamic Encounters across the planet.

During the Cold, Hard Data quest, stand on each of the three ‘quest’ icons and click the skill that appears on your Temporary Ability Bar.
Once you have completed all 3 quests, return to the Glacial Trespass Camp and use the computer next to Doctor Maniks.

Once you have used the computer, follow the map to the Geothermal Disruption Camp.
Part Two – Geothermal Disruption
Follow the map until you reach the Geothermal Disruption Camp and talk to Professor Cavalz, after a few moments of dialogue three quests will appear, you must complete them all to progress to the next stage, just like the Glacial Tresspass.

Pick up all three quests from the camp.
Once you have picked up all three quests, you must now:
- Complete 3 Dynamic Encounters in the Geothermal Biome (green icons).
- Complete the Toxic Runoff quest (stand on the scanner icon on the map and use the macrobinocular icon on the quest tracker).
- Complete the Stability Monitoring quest (stand on the 3 quest icon points on the Glacial biome and use the skill on the temporary ability bar).

Once you have completed all 3 quests, return to the Sporefall Camp and use the computer next to Doctor Maniks.

Once you have used the computer, your Comlink should begin ringing.
Part Four – Transition Encounter
Once you have used the computer in the Sporefall Camp, answer the Comlink pop up on your screen. You will be asked to complete a Transition Encounter.
Note: This quest-chain is very similar to the Oricon storyline, you DO NOT have to complete the Transition Encounter (if you do not want to play group content) to unlock the ‘ending’ of the Wreckage on Dantooine storyline. You can abandon or ignore the main quest and play Dynamic Encounters across the planet!

Transition Encounters only appear on Dantooine when a Biome reaches 100% on their progress bars, regardless of level.
To progress a Biome’s bar, you need to play Dynamic Encounters until the Biome reaches 100%. Once the Biome reaches 100% the word Transition will appear and a special one-time Dynamic Encounter will appear!
These Dynamic Encounters are very difficult, and should either be completed in a small group using Healing Companions, or a full sized group with multiple players.
Transition Dynamic Encounters:
Core Overload (Level 1 > 2)
Caretaker Unit K-6 (Level 2 > 3)
The Cryonest Matron (Level 1 > 2)
Glacial Reclamation (Level 2 > 3)
They Call Me Doctor Spores (Level 1 > 2)
Return of Doctor Spores! (Level 2 > 3)
Once you have completed any one of the above Transition Dynamic Encounters, the quest will ask you to return to the Basecamp and answer your Personal Comlink again.
Master 4 – Orbital Core Guide
Once you have answered your Personal Comlink, you should now have access to the Mission Terminal quest: [Master 4] Orbital Core.

This is a very difficult Boss fight gauntlet quest that requires 4 players in a group: Tank, Healer and 2 DPS.
Note: This quest-chain is very similar to the Oricon storyline, you DO NOT have to complete the Orbital Core (if you do not want to play group content) to unlock the ‘ending’ of the Wreckage on Dantooine storyline. You can abandon or ignore the quest and play Dynamic Encounters across the planet!

Once your group enters the Orbital Core, you will be asked to choose one of three Boss rooms, the left room is the Geothermal Room, the middle is the Glacial Room and the right door is the Sporefall Room.
Easy to hardest: Glacial, Sporefall, Geothermal.
Once you choose a room and go inside, your group must defeat a special miniboss before you can go to the Orbital Core.
Glacial Preserver.
The easiest boss is the Glacial Preserver. While you are inside the room, all players will be hit by a Cryo Calibration Debuff just like the Glacial biome outside. Make sure you keep moving as you will be permanently frozen if you reach 10 stacks!
The Glacial Preserver will periodically freeze the entire team except one player with the Frozen Solid debuff, the free player on the team must run around cleansing everyone else to free them.
Lastly, the Glacial Preserver will fire magma grenades and magma blasts at random players and the tank, DPS and Healer players targeted by magma must run the red circles to the edge of the room before they drop them, the tank needs to face the Preserver away from the group so that the Magma Blast does not hurt their team members.
Sporefall Probe.
When the Sporefall Probe spawns, it will make many red circles, the group needs to run to the edges of the room to avoid the big AOE damage from the red circles.
The group needs to stand wherever there are no red circles in the room (there are a lot) and focus on killing the Sporefall Probes and Spore-Maddened Creatures. If a player gets targeted by purple circles they need to move away from the group and use defensives until the purple circles are gone.
When the Sporefall Probe reaches 30% HP, it will spawn a special Spore Delirium mechanic where one player takes a lot of damage until they pass the Spore Delirium to a team member using the remote icon on their temporar ability bar. Once a player has run out of defensives and can no longer keep staying alive, they need to pass it to another team member in circles until the boss dies.
G30-MN Mining Unit (Geothermal)
The G30-MN Mining Droid is the toughest of the three early boss droids, The droid will hurt players with a stacking debuff called Toxic Runoff. If you have toxic runoff debuff you will take damage WHEN you move, so try to stand still until you are cleansed or you use a defensive such as Hydros or Shroud.
The best tactic against the Mining Unit is to stand as a group until the boss deploys Mining Charges (blue or red) on the group, then walk out once the Mining Charges deploy on the ground, if you have an ability such as Force Barrier, Entrench or Saber Dash it is better to save it to use just before the mining charges explode to prevent gaining Toxic Runoff stacks.
When the mining droid uses the ability Hazard Shielding, 10% of all damage given to the droid is also applied to your team’s Tank, which can multiply up to 25 times through the Corrode Armor debuff on your group members.

Orbital Core.
Once you have defeated your chosen biome boss, you can now attack the Orbital Core!
All three of the prior bosses will now be here again, however the one you chose to defeat will also be enraged.
To start the boss fight stand in the center of the room, the red circle will change colors to blue (knockback), purple (sporefall debuff) and green (toxic runoff) and apply all three kinds of elemental damage mechanics to the group.
You will then need to defeat the Glacial Preserver boss again!
Once you have defeated the Glacial Preserver, charge the core and damage it down to 60%, make sure that your team runs an interrupt order on the Prox Rejector cast!
You will then need to defeat the Sporefall Probe boss again!
Once you have defeated the Sporefall Probe, charge the core and damage it down to 20%, make sure that your team runs an interrupt order on the Prox Rejector cast!
You will then need to defeat the Mining Unit boss again!
Once you have defeated the Mining Unit, the other two bosses will respawn in a new ‘damaged’ form. You must defeat them all at the same time.
Kill Order: Glacial Preserver first, G30-MN Mining Unit second and Sporegenic Probe last.
Once the Sporagenic Probe dies, your team will have 15 seconds to defeat the Orbital Core (sub 20% hp) otherwise the Orbital Core will wipe the group and you will have to start from the beginning.
