Broadsword announced that SWTOR Update 7.5 Desperate Defiance is releasing at 7am CT on May 29th. The game update will feature Story on Hutta, a new ‘Dantooine Valley’ Event as well as a new Basilisk Wardroid Companion earned through SWTOR’s new Venture minigame!

Introduction

Eric Musco and Jackie Ko kicked off an Official SWTOR Livestream on the 1st of May and revealed that the team at Broadsword (previously Bioware) has will be releasing the next part of SWTORs main story, as well as a new Dantooine Event, Companion and Venture system as well as many other Cartel Market and game additions.

New Spring Abundance Event

In 7.5 Players of both Factions will be able participate in a new Yearly (once a year) event called the Dantooine Spring Abundance Festival event that takes place in its own special area on Dantooine.

Players will be able to hunt for eggs, and participate in dailies such as planting, watering plants and fishing in order to earn a bunch of rewards from the Event.

The event will also contain its own Story Quests for SWTOR which will reward titles and other goodies to those that complete it while the event is active.

Basilisk Prototype Companion

Get your own permanent Basilisk Companion called B3-S1! Bessie is unlocked via the new Ventures system for SWTOR, read more below.

New Venture System

A new Subscriber only Minigame system to SWTOR called Ventures has been added in 7.5! The first Venture will have players earn rewards related to the new Basilisk Companion as well as working towards unlocking B3S1 as a permanent companion! This is a subscriber system made for Solo players, without group play being a necessity.

Shape the future of Sahar Kateen and her direction as a Padawan in this story update based on Hutta in the new Minboosa District.
