Broadsword announced that SWTOR Update 7.5.1 The Greatest Bounty is coming this August. The game update will feature a new Galactic Season, Repeatable Companion Romance Quests and Cartel Market Items.

Introduction

Eric Musco and Jackie Ko kicked off an Official SWTOR Livestream on the 24th of July and revealed that the team at Broadsword (previously Bioware) has SWTOR Content planned for August 7.5.1 and teased new Content.

Limited-Time Code LostPadawan

One of the first things the Livestream Gave away was a temporary code that must be used by the August!

Go to swtor.com/redeem-code , log-in to your account and use the code LostPadawan before August 6th to recieve a Sahar poster decorations.

Master the Fight Firebolt Bundle

A new $99.99 Bundle is coming, includes 6 months subscription, $55 of Cartel Coins, a new mount and 10! new enhanced dyes per character (given to all characters).

This works out to around $16.50 per month of subscription for the combined value of cartel coins and subscription, not to mention 10 enhanced dyes mailed to all characters, which are usually valued at around $10-$18 each on the Cartel Market.

Galactic Seasons 7

In 7.5.1 Players of both Factions will be able unlock in Galactic Season 7: The Greatest Bounty. The Bounty Hunting Event (BBA) Will run for the entirety of the Galactic Season. Players will be able to meet a new story character to run and find special bounties in the galactic season.

During this season Broadsword has reintroduced the DvL Worldbosses! These bosses take around 8-16 players to kill and drop Dark and Light tokens which can be exchanged on the fleet for rare cosmetics. A system introduced 9 years ago to SWTOR that was removed 2 years ago at the start of Legacy of the Sith.

There are also a host of new Galactic Seasons 7 armors, including Return of the Jedi themed Hutt Cartel/Jabba’s Guard armor sets, rusty weapons sets and a new Loth Cat Kitten!

There is also some new metallic dyes and Bessi companion Skin, although the devs did not show them off.

New Feast of Prosperity Items

New decorations are coming to the Feast of Prosperity Event, no new event quests were mentioned.

Orlean Voidstream Mount

SWTOR is adding twitch drops for the game. You can log into your twitch.tv livestream account and link it to your swtor.com account on swtor.com and watch livestreams to earn swtor items!

Eligibility to watch swtor streams to earn the mount will start for 30 days when 7.5.1 goes live.

Level 80 Gearing Changes

There are new fast track methods to earning end game PVE gear coming to SWTOR.

Essentially, all operations weeklies will now be available, and for ALL existing PVE weeklies, you will be able to choose between your current reward (gear/currency cache) OR you will be able to choose a special cache for a more advanced piece of gear.

Flashpoints:
If you complete the weekly for a Veteran Flashpoint, you will be able to choose between Flashpoint gear currency OR a piece of Master Mode Flashpoint gear.
If you complete the weekly for a Master Flashpoint, you will be able to choose between Flashpoint gear currency OR a piece of Rakata Operations (purple) gear.

Operations:
If you complete the weekly for a Story Operation, you will be able to choose between Operations gear currency OR a piece of Veteran/Hardmode (blue) Operations gear.
If you complete the weekly for a Veteran/Hardmode Operation, you will be able to choose between Operations gear currency OR a piece of Rakata (purple) Operations gear.

New Cartel Market Items

One new Armor Set, 2 new Lightsabers and several Tunings are being added to the Cartel Market over time.

Imperial Commando Armor

The Imperial Commando Armor is based on existing Imperial NPC Trooper gear in SWTOR with Lieutenant Pierce’s spec ops icon on the shoulderpads. It has previously been available to NPCs only with players requiring Makeb Reputation to obtain similar-ish looking armor.

Star Wars Visions inspired Lightsabers and Tunings

The Lotus Blade and Burning Embers Lightsabers (and dualsabers) are anime inspired Katana-hilted Lightsabers coming to SWTOR.

There are also 2 new tunings: scattered blossoms and burning embers which rain either cherryblossoms or burning fragments around your character.

Date Night Quests

The newest addition to 7.5.1 are more Date Nights, which are an ongoing Update series focused on bringing Repeatable, Companion themed Alliance Alert Quests in which you can catch up with romanceable companions and take them on dates.

7.5.1 will feature 2 Companions for the release of Date Night: Aric Jorgan and Vette. 1-2 companions at a time will come with each future Galactic Season updates to the game.

Ashley Ruhl and Musco teased the premise of each of the first Four Date Night repeatable quests:
Aric Jorgan challenges you to Target Practice on Odessen.
Vette dates on a Hutt museum on Makeb.
Both Aric and Vette require KOTFE completion and for them to be alive!
