Dark vs Light Tokens are a character-bound currency found as loot from Darkside and Lightside Worldbosses in SWTOR during Galactic Season 7 and 8. They can be traded on the Fleet for a variety of Cosmetic Armor Sets, Weapons, Mounts and Pets.

What are Dark vs Light Tokens

Dark vs Light Tokens are a special currency that are uniquely found as loot from Darkside and Lightside Worldbosses in SWTOR. Dark Side Tokens and Light Side Tokens are a character-bound currency that can be found in your characters Currency Inventory.
You can hold up to 100 Dark side and 100 Light side Tokens per character.

Dark side Tokens and Light side Tokens can be used to purchase cosmetic Armor Sets, Mounts and Weapons at a Vendor on the Fleet.

Legacy Currency Update

As of the 4th of September 2024, the SWTOR developers plan to change the Dark and Light tokens from a character currency to a Legacy currency. This change has not happened and will happen in update 7.5.1b which does not currently have a release date.

How to Get Dark Side Tokens and Light Side Tokens

Dark Side Tokens and Light Side Tokens in SWTOR can be earned in two different ways:
As a Reward for completing Weekly Objectives during Galactic Season 8.
Loot from killing Darkside or Lightside Worldbosses.

Dark vs Light World Bosses

There are 20 total DvL Worldbosses, 10 Lightside themed bosses and 10 Darkside themed worldbosses. They are quite hard to kill and may require a group of 16-24 players.

Killing a Darkside Worldboss will reward your character with 1 Light Side Token.
Killing a Lightside Worldboss will reward your character with 1 Dark Side Token.

Each week only 2 DvL worldbosses will spawn on different planets. This means it will take 10 weeks to find and kill all 20 DvL Bosses during the Galactic Season.

Galactic Seasons

The Rewards Track for Galactic Season 7 offered both Dark Side and Light Side Tokens on the Free to Play and Subscriber track, there are a total of 12 Dark Side tokens and 12 Light Side tokens across the entire track between level 1 and 100.

Galactic Season 8:

Another way to earn Dark Side Tokens and Light Side Tokens is by completing the Galactic Season Weekly Objective: Ancient Enemies Returned.
This objective rewards 1 Darkside Token and 1 Lightside Token when you complete the Weekly Objective.

Rewards Vendor

The Dark Token and Light Token Rewards Vendor can be found in the Supplies Section of Fleet next to the Galactic Seasons Vendors.
Look for the <Galactic Command Dark Side Vendor> and <Galactic Command Light Side Vendor> tags under the Vendors names to use the Light and Dark Token vendors. The other two Dark/Light Vendors do not offer Token rewards.

Dark Disciple Armor Set

The Dark Disciple Armor Set costs 12-16 Dark Side Tokens per piece.
Requires Darkside 4 to Purchase and Equip.

Dire Overlord Fitted Armor – NEW

The Dire Overlord Fitted Armor Set costs 12-16 Dark Side Tokens per piece.
Has no Requirements to Purchase or Equip.
Fitted Gear only has a Dye slot and is not moddable otherwise.

Dire Taskmaster Fitted Armor – NEW

The Dire Taskmaster Fitted Armor Set costs 12-16 Dark Side Tokens per piece.
Has no Requirements to Purchase or Equip.
Fitted Gear only has a Dye slot and is not moddable otherwise.

Dread Enforcer Armor

The Dread Enforcer Armor Set costs 6-8 Dark Side Tokens per piece.
Requires Darkside 2 to Purchase and Equip.

Dread Harbinger Armor

The Dread Harbinger Armor Set costs 6-8 Dark Side Tokens per piece.
Requires Darkside 2 to Purchase and Equip.

Dread Mystic Armor

The Dread Mystic Armor Set costs 6-8 Dark Side Tokens per piece.
Requires Darkside 2 to Purchase and Equip.

Honored Adept Fitted Armor – NEW

The Honored Adept Fitted Set costs 12-16 Light Side Tokens per piece.
Has no Requirements to Purchase or Equip.
Fitted Gear only has a Dye slot and is not moddable otherwise.

Honored Saberist Fitted Armor – NEW

The Honored Saberist Fitted Set costs 12-16 Light Side Tokens per piece.
Has no Requirements to Purchase or Equip.
Fitted Gear only has a Dye slot and is not moddable otherwise.

Light Devotee Armor

The Light Devotee Armor Set costs 12-16 Light Side Tokens per piece.
Requires Lightside 4 to Purchase and Equip.
There are two different Chestpiece, one with a hood and one without.

Righteous Enforcer Armor

The Righteous Enforcer Armor Set costs 6-8 Light Side Tokens per piece.
Requires Lightside 2 to Purchase and Equip.

Righteous Harbinger Armor

The Righteous Harbinger Armor Set costs 6-8 Light Side Tokens per piece.
Requires Lightside 2 to Purchase and Equip.
