Factions
The Star Wars Galaxy during and after the time of the Cold War hosts dozens of major and minor factions vying for control of the galaxy. From the benevolent Galactic Republic to the evil Sith Empire or external powers such as the Hutt Cartel, each faction represents their own creative mark upon the Galaxy.
Galactic Republic

#1 Galactic Republic Standard
The leading symbol of the Galactic Republic, this logo has appeared all across material set in the Old Republic era. Influenced by the logo of the Rebel Alliance, the Starbird shape of the Galactic Republic features multiple curved wings as well as a reaching star in the center.
While the symbol is designed with the starbird reaching an arm on the center-left and a six-pointed Star on the center-right of the insignia, it is often incorrectly depicted backwards with the star on the left and the reaching arm on the right across Star Wars the Old Republic.

#2 Task Force Nova
Task Force Nova is a joint Jedi, Military and Civilian branch of the Republic Government and was founded by Chancellor Galena Rans, General Daeruun and Jedi Master Gnost-Dural after the defeat of the Eternal Empire of Zakuul.
The goal of Task Force Nova is to rebuild the Jedi Order after its formal destruction during the galactic invasion of the Eternal Empire.
The symbol of Task Force Nova shares a color palette and inspiration of the standard logo of the Galactic Republic. The key difference is the middle reaching arm has been replaced by a 4-pointed star which sits atop a large tail and wings.

#3 Havoc Squad
Originally named Squad 326, Havoc Squad gained its name under the leadership of Jace Malcom through battles fought against the Sith Empire before the Treaty of Coruscant was signed.
The symbol of Havoc Squad was often found painted onto the Squad’s Republic Commando armor in a bright Orange and White color scheme.
While the symbol of Havoc Squad is unique to the squad itself and the Trooper player character, in SWTOR it is often incorrectly worn by Republic Troopers across the game as many NPCs share generic armor set textures with the Trooper Player Class.

#4 Republic Navy
Perhaps one of the hardest to find logos in SWTOR is that of the Republic Navy. The Republic Navy insignia consists of to be a dark red colored planet with two orbiting moons and heavy black outlines that intersect through each moon.
Creative liberties have been taken to restore and create a high resolution version of the Republic Navy insignia as there are very few Republic Officers with an undamaged version of this logo on their uniform.
The Republic Navy insignia is nearly always worn on the left shoulderpad of the Republic Uniform, meaning the symbol could potentially be backwards as SWTOR armor sets often mirror textures from the right to the left side of the body.

#5 Republic Army
The Republic Army is the encompassing body of the entire Galactic Republic’s Army, Naval and Starfighter forces. Many unarmored Republic Forces and Officers can be seen with this Crosshair/Bullseye style insignia on the shoulders of their jackets or uniforms.
Unlike the insignia of the Republic Navy, the symbol of the Republic Army can be found across Republic servicemen in all three branches and uniforms across the galaxy, meaning that this logo is most likely a generic symbol to help the Republic Army or Republic Forces identify each other easily.
Sith Empire

#6 Sith Empire
The complete logo of the Sith Empire is found throughout the galaxy, oftentimes either in a red and black colorscheme or painted white on a red background.
The symbol of the Sith Empire reigns terror across the galaxy, found emblazoned on all of the Sith Empire’s banners, flags, uniforms of the Sith Army and even built into their architecture or carved into the walls or floors of significant locations in the Empire.
The symbol of the Sith Empire is that of a multi layered hexagon. An internal hexagon sticks out six pointed arrows and chevrons which form additional hexagonal layers.
The Sith Empire’s logo being a three way combination of symbols from the Galactic Empire, from the Original trilogy, and both the Republic and Confederacy of the Prequel Trilogy merged together.

#7 Sith Empire – Simple
A simplified version of the complete symbol of the Sith Empire. The key differences between this version and the complete symbol is the removal of the encompassing multi-layered hexagon that the simplified logo fits within.
While the complete symbol of the Sith Empire is found commonly wherever the Empire is located throughout the galaxy, the simplified logo is often found on propaganda posters and holographic signposts.

#8 Hand of the Empire
Originally created under the name Emperor’s Hand during the reign of Emperor Vitiate, the Hand of the Empire was reformed under Emperor Vowrawn as the Hand of the Empire. Servants from the original Emperor’s Hand remained loyal to Vitiate through the Revanite and Eternal Empire invasions until they were finally defeated.
The current Hand of the Empire, loyal to Emperor Vowrawn, was often represented by Darth Rivix.
The insignia of the new Hand of the Empire is only seen a few times on Odessen in SWTOR provided the player is playing an Imperial Character and chose to remain Loyal to the Empire during the Onslaught expansion. The symbol appears to consist of five spikes or daggers (most likely representing the 5 spheres of the Sith Empire) within a hexagon, painted in the standard white and red colors of the Sith Empire’s flags.

#9 Imperial Special Forces
The insignia of the Imperial Special Forces, Elite Soldiers and Black Ops operating under the Sith Empire. The logo was often painted either red or white upon all black or dark gray armor. Most notably the armor set was worn by Lieutenant Pierce’s Black Ops squad and the ISF forces lead by Major Anri.
The logo itself appears to depict the skull of a Quarren or Kaleesh with a star pattern around the skull.
Similar to the symbol for Havoc Squad of the Republic, while the symbol of Imperial Special Forces is sometimes incorrectly worn by regular Imperial Army Troopers across the game as many NPCs share armor set textures such as standard Imperial Troopers fighting for the Alliance on Odessen.

#10 City Flag of the Sith Empire
A green City Flag can be found across established locations of the Sith Empire, such as aboard Vaiken Spacedock, Korriban, Sobrik Spaceport on Balmorra or Dromund Kaas City.
The City Flag of the Sith Empire is only known symbol of the Sith Empire to be featured exclusively in shades of green, while the logo itself appears to be a heavily styalised version of the Sith Empire itself, with its middle section replaced with five circles and three pylons.
Dread Masters

#17 The Dread Masters
The Dread Masters were a council of Six powerful and ancient Sith Lords that were freed from a stasis prison on Belsavis towards the end of the Cold War. The Dread Masters would then go rogue and begin ‘The Dread War’ against the Hutt Cartel, Republic and Sith Empire combined before their defeat on the lava world of Oricon.
The flag of the Dread Masters is one of the few asymmetical faction flags in SWTOR. The symbol of the Dread Masters could be seen made out of metal statues or a red and black flag.
The Unmasked

#33 The Unmasked
Lead by Lady Dominique and Lord Kanoth, the Unmasked were an extremist cult of enthralled Force drones that had been mutated by a bioorganism known as Nihrot which had been amplified due to it’s proximity to the Mass Shadow Generator of Malachor.
The flag of the Unmasked was intentionally designed in reference to the Mask of Darth Nihilus who was worshipped by Lady Dominique. The colorscheme of the Flag is identical to that of the standard Black and Red imperial banner with the emblem of the Sith Empire being replaced by the Mask of Nihilus.
Hutt Cartel

#11 Hutt Cartel
The standard and most commonly seen sign of the Hutt Cartel, the red flag of the Hutt Cartel is most notably seen across Nem’ros Palace and across the streets of Jiguuna on Nal Hutta, Makeb and Nar Shaddaa.
Despite being the most recognisable symbol for the Hutt Cartel, a player obtainable version of this flag is named ‘Dangerous Hutt’.

#12 Beneficient Hutt Cartel
A blue version of the standardised red Hutt Cartel Banner, this blue version represents some form of sharp clawwed hand and unlike the stanard banner, this version was only found within Fa’athra’s Palace on Nal Hutta.
Paradoxically, while this blue Hutt Cartel banner is only seen belonging to Fa’athra the Hutt who is an antagonist within the game and is also depicted to assassinate his fellow Hutt Cartel Leaders, the player obtainable version of this flag refers to it titled ‘Beneficient’ which means ‘to do good’.

#13 Hutt Cartel Security
The symbol of the Hutt Cartel Security Forces, this red eye was often worn by non-Hutt members of various Hutt Cartel Security and Military forces across the galaxy. As the logo is represented with an open eye, is it clealy designed to represent the ever watchful gaze of the Hutts and their security detail within their own territory.
In SWTOR the symbol for the Hutt Cartel Security is often incorrectly worn by the Exchange, Black Sun and other Gangs across the game as many Underworld themed NPCs share generic armor set textures with each other.

#15 Sign of Quesh
The planet of Quesh, in Hutt space, was controlled by the Hutt Cartel and formerly ruled by a trio of Hutt Clans known as the ‘Three Families’. Each of the Three Families were defeated during the Cold War which fragmented the Three Families reputation with the Hutt Cartel and turned control of the planet over to the Republic, while the Hutt Cartel attempted to retake the planet with the aid of the Sith Empire.
It is unknown whether this is the symbol of the planet Quesh itself or the symbol of the Three Families that control Quesh, both the Republic and Sith Empire’s Ambassadorial signages to Quesh feature the symbol of the crescent moon aboard their individual Space stations with no symbols present on the planet itself or in any of the Three Families territories or palaces.
Mandalorian

#16 Mandalorian Crest – Mandalore the Vindicated
During the time of the Cold War, the Mandalorians under the leadership of Mandalore the Vindicated used a heavily styalised version of the Mythosaur Skull as their Mandalorian Crest. While this Mandalorian Crest was commonly found throughout the Cold War in multiple colors and locations, such as its use in flags, banners, floor tiles or even spray painted onto surfaces, the symbol would eventually be replaced by a new Mythosaur Skull when Shae Vizla became Mandalore after the death of Mandalore the Vindicated.
The largest styalistic difference between the Mythosaur Skull and the version used by Mandalore the Avenger is that this version features a much squarer design instead of a thin skull with teeth and long horns. The teeth of the Mythosaur Skull in this symbol have been replaced by four long spikes instead.

#34 Mandalorian Crest – Shae Vizla / Mandalore the Avenger
After the end of the Cold War, the Mandalorians loyal to Shae Vizla on Rishi used a heavily softened version of the Mythosaur Skull as their Mandalorian Crest. This specific Mythosaur crest would reappear frequently as Shae Vizla became Mandalore on locations such as Rishi, Darvannis and Ruhnuk.
The largest styalistic difference between the Mythosaur Skull and the version used by Mandalore the Vindicated is that this version features a much smoother design with all of the minimialist elements and sharp corners removed in favor of a much more familiar design which bridges the gap between the original Old Republic Mandalorian symbol and the one that appears during the Original Trilogy.
Order of Revan

#18 The Order of Revan
The Order of Revan, or commonly referred to as Revanites were a secret society of Sith and Republic forces that pledged loyalty to Revan, founded by Tari Darkspanner in the jungles of Dromund Kaas.
After Revan’s return to the galaxy after he escaped the Maelstrom Prison and the Foundry, Revan would take control of the order and begin planning a long campaign to use the Republic and the Sith Empire as a cover so that he could draw out and defeat the Sith Emperor on Yavin IV.
The symbol of the Order of Revan was near identical in the white and red color used by the Sith Empire, the flags likeness was based on the metal hoops and tabard of Darth Revan’s lower robe.

#19 Order of Revan – Supplies
Unlike the symbol of the Order of Revan, the Revanites painted images depicting Revan’s Mask onto their war supplies and cargo containers. These supplies and crates could be found commonly throughout Rishi and Yavin IV being utilised by Revanites to store supplies for their war effort against the Republic and Sith Empire.
Creative liberties have been taken to restore and create a high resolution version of the Revan’s Mask symbol as there are only heavily damaged versions found within the game, several of these scratches have been left on the design to stay faithful the original appearance of the symbol.
Eternal Empire

#44 Zakuul
Long before the Cold War between the Republic and the Empire even staretd, Emperor Vitiate of the Sith Empire had begun mind controlling a human man named Valkorion on the distant planet of Zakuul. Vitiate used his supreme control over Valkorions mind and body to raise the Eternal Empire of Zakuul as a supreme faction capable of Galactic domination over the Republic and Empire.
After Valkorion and his royal family were defeated by a united Alliance of Republic, Empire and other factions, the planet of Zakuul swiftly declared its independance from the old royal family under a new democratically elected Prime Minister. However with the planet embroiled in turmoil with the loss of its old leadership, the newly proclaimed government quickly lost control of the planet to Crime Syndicates which now run uncontested across the world.
The Zakuulan aesthetic itself was often clad in golden iconography in an early 1920s Art Deco style. The best representation we have of the ‘full’ emblem of Zakuul is used in the Sacrifice Trailer by Blur Studios, as the ingame representation used on banners, decorations, starfighters and shuttles all only use segments of the full image.
Iokath Gods

#45 Tyth
Tyth, also known as the Firstborn Son, was the God of Rage of the ‘Old Ways’ religion, which was the dominant religion of the Zakuulan Empire. Constructed by the ancient Iokathi race on their dyson sphere homeworld, Tyth was turned against the Iokath people during a Civil War which resulted in the extinction of the entire Iokath species.
During the reignited war between the Republic and Empire after the fall of Eternal Empire of Zakuul and defeat of Vaylin, Tyth would be the first of the Machine Gods to reawaken on Iokath.
The symbol of Tyth is only seen outside the entrance to the Valley of the Machine Gods Operation room located on Iokath. The emblem itself appears to be the helmet, eyes and pauldrons of Tyth in a medium red color.
Originally before the release of Iokath and Knights of the Eternal Throne, Tyth’s emblem was described via ingame Codex Entries to be that of a bloody fist, which never appeared in the game.

#46 Aivela
Aivela, also known as the Favored Daughter, was the God of Passion of the ‘Old Ways’ religion, which was the dominant religion of the Zakuulan Empire. Constructed by the ancient Iokathi race on their dyson sphere homeworld, Aivela was unleashed as a superweapon across many planets including Zakuul, where she was responsible for killing over ten trillion beings.
During the reignited war between the Republic and Empire after the fall of Eternal Empire of Zakuul and defeat of Vaylin, Aivela and her twin sister Esne reactivated together upon the death of their brother Tyth.
Aivela was first referenced in a non-descript background detail during the Belsavis Star Fortress in the Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion.
The symbol of Aivela is only seen outside the entrance to the Valley of the Machine Gods Operation room located on Iokath. The symbol of Aivela is combined with Esne’s symbol on Iokath.

#47 Esne
Esne was the God of Envy of the ‘Old Ways’ religion, which was the dominant religion of the Zakuulan Empire. Constructed by the ancient Iokathi race on their dyson sphere homeworld, Esne became ferverently jealous and envious of her twin sister Aivela, leading to the creation of the Zakuulan phrase ‘Eyes of Esne’.
During the reignited war between the Republic and Empire after the fall of Eternal Empire of Zakuul and defeat of Vaylin, Aivela and her twin sister Esne reactivated together upon the death of their brother Tyth.
Esne was first referenced in a non-descript background detail during the Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion.
The symbol of Esne is only seen outside the entrance to the Valley of the Machine Gods Operation room located on Iokath. The symbol of Esne is combined with Aivela’s symbol on Iokath, with Esne’s symbol being placed over the top of Aivela’s.

#48 Nahut
Nahut, also known as the ‘Hated Son’, was the God of Apathy of the ‘Old Ways’ religion, which was the dominant religion of the Zakuulan Empire. Constructed by the ancient Iokathi race on their dyson sphere homeworld, Nahut was shunned and denied of worship or perception by his mother, Scyva which lead to Nahut taking a shapeless form with powerful stealth technology.
During the reignited war between the Republic and Empire after the fall of Eternal Empire of Zakuul and defeat of Vaylin, Nahut reactivated and attempted to kill the player character, where his mother, Scyva, reactivated in an attempt to stop and contain him.
Nahut was first referenced in a non-descript background detail during the Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion.
The symbol of Nahut is only seen outside the entrance to the Valley of the Machine Gods Operation room located on Iokath. Despite Nahut, his mechanics and his area within SWTOR being colored Cyan, his symbol appears Neon-Green on Iokath.

#49 Scyva
Scyva , also known as the ‘Mother of Sorrows’, was one of the Primary Gods of the ‘Old Ways’ religion, which was the dominant religion of the Zakuulan Empire. Constructed by the ancient Iokathi race on their dyson sphere homeworld, Scyva was the ‘mother’ of Tyth, Aivela, Esne and Nahut.
During the reignited war between the Republic and Empire after the fall of Eternal Empire of Zakuul and defeat of Vaylin, Scyva reactivated in an attempt to stop her son Nahut from killing the player character. After Nahut’s defeat, Scyva herself came face to face with the player where she was defeated as well. However through her physical defeat, she uploaded her conscious into a GEMINI droid and allied with the player character in an attempt to defeat Izax.
Scyva was first referenced in a non-descript background detail during the Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion.
The symbol of Scyva is only seen outside the entrance to the Valley of the Machine Gods Operation room located on Iokath. Despite Scyva, her mechanics and her area within SWTOR being colored Green, her symbol appears Light-Purple on Iokath.

#50 Izax
Izax the Ultimate Devourer , also known as the ‘God of Death’, was one of the Primary Gods of the ‘Old Ways’ religion, which was the dominant religion of the Zakuulan Empire. Constructed by the ancient Iokathi race on their dyson sphere homeworld, Izax was the ‘father’ of Tyth, Aivela, Esne and Nahut, and ‘husband’ of Scyva.
During the reignited war between the Republic and Empire after the fall of Eternal Empire of Zakuul and defeat of Vaylin, Izax reactivated himself and began to rampage across the planet of Iokath, destroying most of the Eternal Fleet before he was stopped by the player character, Scyva and others.
Izax was first referenced across several Codex Entries in the Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion.
The symbol of Izax is also the only symbol that is in two different colors, with the small head piece being green and the body being aqua/turquoise.
While all of the other 5 Iokath Gods have designated symbols on Iokath near the entrance to the Valley of the Machine Gods Operation, there is no official confirmation that this is the symbol of Izax.
However as this symbol appears on a holographic table as one of several potential Iokath God symbols, and the symbol appears to fit the Cobra snake-like silhouette of Izax himself, we can assume that this symbol is his.
Chiss Ascendancy

#20 The Chiss Ascendancy
After the time of the Eternal Empire during the Old Republic period, the Chiss Ascendancy made use of a symbol that featured a much more minimalist design.
This flag was most prominently seen on Copero and propaganda posters advertising the Chiss Ascendancy on the Fleet as well as Odessen.
The blue circles retained the locations and sizes of the circles that are prominent in the original design of the Chiss Ascendancy logo from Legends Canon, however the logo featured in SWTOR is a fusion of the original Legends Canon design and a new design featured in the Canon Thrawn novels from 2017.

#21 House Inrokini
The Inrokini was one of the ruling Chiss Families during the Old Republic period. After the War for Iokath, the Inrokini Family lead by Syndic Zenta and Valls, aided the Heralds of Zildrog on Copero in an attempt to locate Emperor Vitiate’s superweapon.
House Inrokini were branded as traitors by Aristocra Seganu and were defeated by the Alliance Commander and their allies on Copero.
The symbol for House Inrokini is one of the most complex in SWTOR. The most basic version of the insignia is a three pointed circle, featuring a star within a heptagon in the center. This version of their logo can be found all across the architecture of Copero such as street lights, painted on the walls of houses and even furniture.
A more complex version of the symbol appears on the Flag of House Inrokini in which a second three pointed circe and star pattern is copied upside-down and placed ontop, as seen in the reference image above.
Companies and Organizations
Bounty Brokers Association

#14 Bounty Hunter Armor
Many armor sets worn by non-Mandalorian Bounty Hunters often bore the symbol of a white two pronged blade. All instances of armor in SWTOR using the design of this ‘Blade’ symbol on armor sets throughout the game are only available chronologically on non-Mandalorian Bounty Hunter armor before players have the option to become Mandalorians, therefore we can assume this symbol represents an unknown Bounty Hunter organisation.
Creative liberties have been taken to restore and create a high resolution version of the Bounty Hunter’s Armor symbol as there are only heavily scratched versions found within the game, several of these scratches have been left on the design to stay faithful the original appearance of the symbol.
The design of this symbol could be a reference or easter egg to the Energy Blade from Halo.

#25 Hutt Cartel Shipping Containers
Many shipping containers found throughout Hutt Cartel locations in SWTOR bare the logo of some kind of City on a hill infront of a sunset. These shipping containers can be found in the Hutt Cartel Bazaar on the Fleet, as well as Makeb, Rishi, Mek-Sha and other locations across the game.
The design of this Symbol actually pre-dates usage of the Hutt Cartel. The original shipping container that this logo can be seen on is within the Cartel Warlords warehouse on Darvannis during the Scum and Villainy Operation. Despite the Cartel Warlords and Darvannis being under the control of Dread Master Styrak, we can assume that the shipping container originally belonged to the Warlords or the Hutt Cartel that owned Darvannis before Styrak took over.
Czerka Corporation

#51 Czerka Corporation
Czerka Corporation was an intergalactic multi-faceted company that specialised in Industrial Programs, Mining, Weapons Manufacturing and Biological Warfare, Droid and Vehicle production, as well as many of their own private interests.
Several years after the galaxy was liberated from the Eternal Empire, the Republic forcefully took control of the Company, nationalised and then dissolved many of Czerka Corporation’s programs. This move lead many of Czerka’s more extreme and nefarious members to leave the Republic and found the ‘unrelated company’ Czerka Interstellar, which continued their original goal of more unethical research and development project.
The Czerka Corporation logo has remained consistent since its inclusion in both KOTOR and classic Star Wars tabletop games, though it differs greatly from the logo used during the time of the Original Trilogy.
The key difference between the KOTOR and SWTOR variant of the Czerka logo is the horizontal spike no longer breaks through the circle, instead ending within the circle on both sides.

#52 Czerka Sunrise
The Czerka Sunrise variant of the Czerka Corporation logo appears uniquely in Star Wars the Old Republic, first appearing within the Rasmus Blys’ story arc content (CZ-198 daily area and the Czerka Corporate Labs and Czerka Meltdown flashpoints).
The major striking differences between the regular Czerka Corporation logo and the Czerka Sunrise is that the Czerka Sunrise logo is not only layered with multiple colors and outlines, but there is also both a Sunrise, given it’s name, and two orbiting small satellites or moons with trajectory arcs attached underneath the bottom of the logo.
Galactic Solutions Industries

#22 Galactic Solutions Industries
Galactic Solutions Industries is a weapons, starfighter & droid manufacturer as well as an archaeological survey company. Commonly referred to as GSI, they were formed by Addalar Hyland who also formed the THORN company to prevent the spread of the Rakghoul Plague.
GSI operated across many planets in the galaxy where they were known for employing spacers and civilians to test or survey their experimental equipment.
There are several different iterations of the Galactic Solutions Industries logo present across Star Wars, however each of them keep strictly to the four colors: White, Orange, Cyan and Dark Gray.
The official insignia of their offices on Nar Shaddaa feature a white background and Cyan triangle, while most of their employees armor and their quest terminals feature a blue background and White triangle.
HyperMatter

#39 HyperMatter – The Black Hole
As the Treaty of Coruscant fell with the invasion of Corellia, one of the planet’s ruling Councilmembers and Imperial sympathiser, Harmon Torvix, attempted to take control of the Black Hole, an industrial HyperMatter refinery.
The logo used by HyperMatter refined on Corellia was seen across the galaxy from billboard and poster advertisements to giant hologram projected onto the sky outside of the HyperMatter Tower itself. The symbol used was the Aurebesh letter H surrounded in in a red and cyan colored hexagon representing beams of hyperspace travel. The words Hyper and Matter were also colored red and cyan respectively.
Mantellian Separatists

#40 Mantellian Separatist Movement – Ord Mantell
The Mantellian Separatist Movement, or ‘Separatists’ during the time of the Cold War were an organised rogue military force that wanted to secede Ord Mantell from the Republic. The Mantellian Separatists were supported by the Justicar’s of Coruscant as well as the Sith Empire.
Many years after the Zakuulan Empire’s Invasion, the Mantellian Separatist Movement would ally with and be supported by Heta Kol and the Hidden Chain during the Mandalorian Civil War against Shae Vizla.
The logo used by the Mantellian Separatists featured four basic white Rhombuses within two gold stripes, adorned on a flag of muddy brown and maroon colors.
Space Ships

#23 IL Series Starfighter – IL-5 Ocula / IL-5 Starbolt
The IL Series of Starfighters were created by Czerka Corporation and found commonly throughout the galaxy, also being used by both the Republic and the Sith Empire in major space battles as Light Interceptor class starfighters.
A personal IL series ship was modified for use by Shae Vizla as her personal fighter during the Mandalorian Civil War against Heta Kol and the Hidden Chain.
Creative liberties have been taken to restore and create a high resolution version of the IL-5 Ocula symbol as there are only heavily scratched versions found within the game, the design above is an attempted restoration to how the logo would appear if in good condition.

#42 Plug-6 Fighter / ML-39 Brute Patrol Ship
Both the Plug-6 Heavy Starfighter and the ML-39 Brute Patrol Ship featured this unique design on the exterior hulls of their ships. While both the Plug-6 and Brute starships are shown extensively within the Underworld during the Old Republic Era, both the Republic and the Sith Empire make common use of these ships.
The logo itself features a heavily styalized symbol or perhaps manufacturers logo ontop of a multi colored target. The two letters within the large ‘S shape’ are not related to any known language in the Star Wars universe.
Creative liberties have been taken to restore and create a high resolution version of the Plug-6 ship symbol as there are only heavily scratched versions found within the game, the design above is an attempted restoration to how the logo would appear if in good condition.
Planets
Tatooine

#24 Flag of Tatooine
Little is known about the Flag of Tatooine, as it appeared to be used by townships of neutral villagers as well as military bases of the Republic.
The blue and white flag most likely depicts an eclipse of Tatooine’s iconic twin suns with an external ‘target’ or reticle style that surrounds the center of the banner.
The flag of Tatooine is incorrectly displayed backwards on banners within the game and stronghold decorations, painted symbols and posters found across the game correctly depict the large circle on the top left and the small circle on the bottom right.

#26 Tribal Flag of Tatooine
The ‘Tribal’ Flag of Tatooine, only appears near the entrances to Tusken camps and villages across the Jundland Wastes and Tatooine.
Unlike the blue and white flag, the orange and dark gray flag appears to have some form of tribal design hastily painted onto an already damaged flag.
The Tribal Flag of Tatooine appears to be somewhat incomplete, as the banner that is draped across Sand People locations in the game world only appears as a heavily damaged and torn version. No ‘full sized’ banner is known to exist.

#27 Sand People Tribal Partition – Small
This small Tribal Partition can be seen across Tatooine, mostly in the Jundland Wastes, as outer defences and walls protecting Sand People camps. This specific Tribal Partition art was also commonly used within Sand People caves, on rugs or decoration for their outdoor hutts and campsites.
Unlike the large Partition, the small Tribal Partition is found across SWTOR in dark brown and light tan and yellow colors only.
The Tribal Partition and the surrounding detail across all Tribal banners, chests and art in SWTOR appears to be heavily inspired by Polynesian, African and Native American tribal tattoo art that was common in the late 1900s and early 2000s.

#28 Sand People Tribal Partition – Large
The large Tribal Partition can be seen across Tatooine, mostly in the Dune Sea or The Wound, as outer defences and walls protecting Sand People camps. The Large Partition appears to be mostly unfinished, as it has been styalised with dripping paint, as well as an unknown language with multiple sentences enscribed both above and below the center artwork.
Unlike the small Partition, the Large Tribal Partition is found across SWTOR in dark red and light brown and red colors only.
The Tribal Partition and the surrounding detail across all Tribal banners, chests and art in SWTOR appears to be heavily inspired by Polynesian, African and Native American tribal tattoo art that was common in the late 1900s and early 2000s.
Alderaan

#29 House Thul
House Thul was one of the major ruling Noble Houses of Alderaan during the Old Republic period. Unlike many of the other Noble Houses that either remained neutral or allied with the Republic, House Thul remained incredulously loyal to the Sith Empire, even after the Third Barsenthor (Jedi Consular) brokered a peace treaty between the ruling Noble Houses.
The symbol for House Thul appears across the banners of the House Thul Spaceport and Kaamos Territory, as well as inscribed upon the walls and throne within the Palace of House Thul itself.
The most regal version appears on the Flags of House Thul, while a more color reduced version can be found upon the Throneroom, Crown of Thul and armor of Thul soldiers.
House Thul’s main colorscheme consisted of Medium Red and Deep Purples, usually accompanied by a Golden trim or edge.
Voss

#35 Voss
The Voss, or Voss-Ka have some of the most detailed and elaborate designs across the Old Republic. All roots of Voss architecture are based in the design of the flag, with white stone, dark blue highlights and thin gold trim.
The symbol of the Voss is prominently featured as an elaborate logo with multiple elements contained within a large octagon, however there is a simplified logo that appears on banners, pauldrons and hidden within architecture that just displays the central Golden Diamond and the large V at the direct center of the full octagonal design.
The Voss themselves do not inherently stick to one design pattern in SWTOR, oftentimes many tiny individual elements from the complete logo are scattered across dozens of different pieces from beds and tables to street signs or potted plants. Nearly all designs on Voss were inscribed and surrounded by artwork depicting constellations written in an unknown language.
Manaan

#30 Manaan – Selkath
The Selkath were the dominant species of Manaan that enjoyed a life of isolationist supremacy, controlling the galactic creation and supply of Kolto. During the Cold War, the Selkath formally joined the Rift Alliance which acted as an arm of the Galactic Republic.
During the renewed Galactic War after the fall of the Eternal Empire, the Selkath and Manaan itself found itself locked into a turbulent three way Civil War, between themselves (aided by the Republic), the extremist Selkath Isolationist organization and the Sith Empire.
This new emblem of the Selkath first appeared during the Manaan segment and Depths of Manaan Flashpoint, depicting a blue Selkath style head within a simple circle, often branded on Kolto shipping containers, storage units and the doors of Ahto City were even shaped into the image of a Selkath’s head.
Rishi

#31 Flag of Rishi
Rishi was first settled by the Nova Blade Pirates long before the Cold War where they established the Raider’s Cove town and trade port. As the town expanded, it became a legitimate town and haven for underworld business and pirates where it was often overrun with pollution and disease. It wouldn’t be until after a majority of the pirate factions were expelled from the city during the Revanite Crusade that the city would elect its own basic government and begin healing.
It is unknown if this flag is representative of only Raider’s Cove or the Rishi Government as a whole, however while the light and dark blue flags of Rishi are only flown around the city, painted murals of the Flag of Rishi can be found on both Horizon Island and small villages on Sky Ridge Island.

#32 Rishi Crates and Containers
Many shipping crates and containers found across Rishi sport a white minimalist symbol spray painted over the hatches of the containers and crates themselves. While there are only a few crates found acorss the entire Raider’s Cove city with this design, there are many more containers found in locations with the Pirate Crews that were allied with the Order of Revan, such as at the Ravager’s Pirate Crew and the Nova Blade’s Aggressor.
This Symbol features what appears to be some kind of feather or explosion in an inverted, white design, with the innermost circle being broken apart by two lines that form a greater V shape.
Creative liberties have been taken to restore and create a high resolution version of the Rishi Crates and Containers symbol as there are only heavily scratched versions found within the game, a fully restored version has been created in order to view how the logo should appear if it was not damaged.

#36 Rishii Natives
While not found in the spaceport of Rishi itself, this white painted anchor style symbol depicts that of the native birdpeople of Rishi. It was found painted on flags, crates and tables across their native settlements on the many tropical islands of the planet.
This Symbol appears to have been designed in reference to that of a Bird’s skull pointing downwards with a large bone or hook through each nostril, as the Rishii are seen wearing in both the game and placed upon their tribal totems.
Creative liberties have been taken to restore and create a high resolution version of the Rishii peoples Symbol as there are only heavily styalized versions found within the game.
Asylum

#42 Asylum
Asylum was a space station orbiting a gas giant within the Zakuulan sector of Wild Space. The station itself often became a safe haven for those looking to escape the tyrannical rule of the Eternal Empire, such as the Scions of Zakuul who fled the persecution from Arcann after the death of Emperor Valkorion.
A few banners of Asylum could be found, mostly in damaged or torn conditions hanging from industrial towers around the space station itself, the emblem used on the flag appeared to be some sort of brown mechanical tool within a mustard yellow circle.
Creative liberties have been taken to restore and create a high resolution version of the Asylum Banner as there are only heavily damaged versions found within the game.
Umbara

#41 Umbara
Umbara, also known as the Shadow World was a dark Red planet host to the native Umbaran population, a planet of eternal night filled with dangerous creatures and a dark fog. During the time of the Old Republic, Umbara was used by Theron Shan and the Umbarans to steal Adegan Crystals on a train destined for the planet’s Capital City, which became known as the ‘Crisis on Umbara’.
The Symbol of Umbara appears only once in SWTOR, on a non-descript signpost above the entrypoint to the Crisis on Umbara phase entry on Odessen. The sign itself appears to feature the shapes of the native, hostile plant life found on the surface of the planet itself.
Unlike most other signposts in SWTOR, the symbol of Umbara is featured in a hot-pink color, opposite that of the standard holographic blue used across the game.
Onderon

#37 Onderon
The regal banner of Onderon under the rule of King Petryph appears across the Old Republic ingrained heavily into both the banners and design of the architecture on the planet itself, with many lamp posts, fountains, statues and even entire buildings mimicking the central pylon and winged sides of the flag’s design.
This Symbol appears to take design from a hand or device held high by two angelic wings holding two orbs up towards the sky, the larger circle most likely represents Onderon, with the smaller orb above represnting Dxun.
The Banner of Onderon was created by Brian Hagan for the Onslaught expansion of SWTOR, there are three distinctly different versions that appeared in the concept art for the expansion; seen in Purple, Blue, and Red/Gold, with the Red and Gold version appearing in the game.
Mek-Sha

#38 Mek-Sha – Huttbreaker
The banner of Mek-Sha is one of the most unique designs found in SWTOR. It is unknown whether this is the banner of the Hutt family that once ruled the planet, or is the banner of the Nikto, Gritha Dar, also known as ‘The Huttbreaker’, who overthrew the Hutt Cartel and drove them off the space station.
While the symbol of Mek-Sha appears to resemble some form of animal or creature, it does not match anything seen on Mek-Sha or in the Old Republic, however if turned upside down, it appears to depict the skull of some form of horned creature wearing a crown.
This could match the appearance of Gritha Dar who is titled the ‘Queen’ of Mek-Sha, and her species, the Nikto, are known to grow large horns from their forehead.
Creative liberties have been taken to restore and create a high resolution version of the Mek-Sha Symbol as there are only heavily damaged versions found within the game.
