During development of SWTOR, the Jedi Consular was designed with two classes, Jedi Shadow and Jedi Sage… or was it?

Our favourite lightside healing and rock throwing class actually started out as ‘Jedi Wizard’. The fans at the time hated the name with a passion and asked Bioware constantly to rethink it.

Unable to lockdown a name, Bioware instead ran a poll to the SWTOR (would be) players.
The names to vote on were Jedi Sage, Jedi Seer, Jedi Adept, and Jedi Wizard. Jedi Sage won with 15,251 votes. Jedi Wizard came last. Then on the 2nd of December, 2010, the class was officially renamed ‘Jedi Sage’.
