Did You Know #32 – Tom Kane’s Legacy

Tom Kane is one of the worlds most legendary voice actors who has a career spanning 3+ decades in entertainment. He has provided voice roles for over 50+ Star Wars characters across all forms of media from the Narrator and Yoda in the Clone Wars TV series down to Woodhouse in Archer and the Professor in the Power Puff Girls.

Unfortunately in 2020 Tom Kane suffered a stroke which left him unable to work properly as a Voice Actor, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is officially the last Star Wars game he will be present in.
(For now I hope!)

Across the board Tom Kane has been credited as an actor in 264 different shows and games, here are just a small amount of his Star Wars credits alone:

  • Leebo – Shadow’s of the Empire
  • Colonel Yularen, Narrator, Yoda – Star Wars the Clone Wars
  • Ajunta Pall, Vandar Tokare – KOTOR 1
  • C-3P0 – Star Wars: Empire at War
  • Reborn Jedi, Shadowtrooper – Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast
  • Boba Fett – Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
  • Admiral Ackbar, Yoda – Star Wars Battlefront 1/2
  • Cin Drallig – Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith Videogame
  • Captain Talbot, Sun Fac – Star Wars: Republic Commando
  • C-3P0, Yoda – Robot Chicken: Star Wars
  • Yoda, Kento Marek, Lobot – Star Wars the Force Unleashed 1/2
  • Narlock, M1-4X – Star Wars the Old Republic
  • Wullf Yularen – Star Wars Rebels
  • Admiral Ackbar – Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi
  • Qui-Gon Jinn, Yoda – LEGO Star Wars games

I hope that one day he is able to comfortably return to voice work on his own accord as I grew up with him and he has most likely become one of, if not the voice of VA in Star Wars media.
