Players arriving at Dantooine during the Pirate Incursion event may have noticed that the Republic Base they spawn at has a very familiar name with roots to KOTOR 1.

The Tokare Garrison was named after the Jedi Master Vandar Tokare, who was a Jedi Council member of Yoda’s species that lead the Dantooine Jedi Enclave during the events of KOTOR 1.
Vandar Tokare most notably interacted with Bastila Shan and Revan after his amnesia and redemption during the events of KOTOR. However only a few years after Revan’s dissapearance, during the Jedi Purge enacted by the Sith Triumvirate.
Vandar Tokare perished on the Miralukan homeworld of Katarr at the will of Darth Nihilus, who’s force hunger consumed all life force on the planet, killing the Jedi Master.

While Vandar Tokare and the Jedi perished across the galaxy, his inspiration lived on, and thus the Republic Command Center and Garrison on Dantooine closest to the Banir Dam, a strategically important energy complex for the planet, was founded under the title “Tokare Garrison” in honor of the Jedi Master as to not forget his legacy and influence over the Dantooine Jedi Enclave or the planet itself.
